BIODRENING
–Faq
Why use Biodrening for waste air insufflation in the bio-filter?
Thanks to its large side perforated surface (2.800 cm2/ per element), Biodrening permits an homogeneous air distribution within the filtration material layers, optimizing the air depuration process.
Moreover, as it is a modular and not so heavy system it’s very easy to place it even in the containment structure (very small, like a steel container).
Does the system last in time?
Yes, the HDPE that constitues the element is resistant to chemical agents and microorganisms, so the system integrity is guaranteed over time.
Is the closure cap necessary?
If the bio-filter lenght is an exact multiple of the Biodrening lenght (120 cm) the use of the cap isn’t necessary.
But in the majority of cases it is recommended to install it in order to avoid the penetration of gravel or filtration materials in the system. These may obstruct the air distribution.
Is Biodrening transitable?
With the provided installation type, Biodreing can’t bear the transit of means. In fact, its use is recommended with bio-filters that don’t require any machine during the replacement operations.
Does Biodrening require the realization of a concrete slab?
No, this isn’t necessary because the product was designed to be dry placed, without the use of concrete. Moreover, interjecting a slab (it can be perforated too) between the plastic elements and the filatration material may be a problem for the air distribution that may be obstacled, compromising the depuration process.
Is it possible to cover the elements directly with the filtration materials without using the gravel?
It is not recommended because the material used as a filter have a size smaller than 20 mm. They could easily obstruct the product side holes, blocking the air distribution.
Can the product be cut?
This operation should be avoided because the closure cap couldn’t be correctly placed anymore.
Can BioDrening be used in alternative to Biomodulo?
As the product doesn’t assure the trafficability,BioDrening can be an alternative to Biomodulo with small and average bio-filters only. These don’t require the passafe of machines for the filtration materials replacement.
Moreover, we recommend to not use BioDrening for biostabilization perforated floors because this installations require a floor made of concrete rather than a gravel floor that may obstruct in the presence of waste.
