Avoid-Shift-Improve your projects to keep construction on track
30 December 2022
The 2022 Buildings and Construction Report shows that the construction sector remains off track to achieve decarbonization by 2050. CO2 emissions have reached an all-time high, with a rebound to the pre-pandemic levels and a 5% increase compared to the previous year.
To increase sustainability, action is required from all industry actors, end-users included. Let’s start early this year and stay on track by applying the A-S-I approach. Here is what to do:
Use none or less raw, non-recycled materials such as wood, gravel, sand, and EPS. Stop wasting transportation, energy, water, and other resources in your projects in every way possible.
Start or maintain using sustainable alternatives: recycled plastic formwork, slab, water, and green solutions that reduce the use of transport, machinery, and unsustainable materials.
