2,000 m² (21,528 ft²) of Modulo, Geoplast’s permanent crawl space formwork, was chosen in New Jersey as a solution for vapor intrusion in a residential building.
Subsoil vapor is a common issue in residential areas. It may cause chronic health effects to building inhabitants, along with general problems — like filling living spaces with intolerable odors. The buildup of gases can also cause unforeseen explosions, endangering many lives.
Modulo creates a physical barrier between the building and the ground, creating a proper ventilation system that can guarantee the elimination of potentially dangerous vapor intrusion.
