Rootbox easy 3-step installation

Rootbox easy 3-etep instlalation

Made from 2 recycled plastic components, Rootbox ensures fast and easy setup, making it an efficient solution for sustainable urban development. Here is how to install it in 3 simple steps.

Rootbox is our recycled plastic module designed to create optimal conditions for healthy tree growth in urban environments. It offers multiple benefits that contribute to greener, more sustainable cities:

  • Improved air quality: urban trees effectively filter pollutants, enhancing the well-being of city residents,
  • Reduced urban heat island: by promoting tree growth, Rootbox helps cool urban areas, conserving energy and improving thermal comfort during summer,
  • Better stormwater management: with a 94 % void ratio, Rootbox can store vegetated soil and up to 300 l/m3 of water, reducing runoff and mitigating flood risks,
  • Improved aesthetics and recreation: green urban spaces offer more enjoyable environments for leisure activities and promote stronger community engagement.

Rootbox consists of just two components – side walls and an upper grid – allowing for fast and easy assembly without the need for additional tools or accessories. Its simple design ensures efficient installation in 3 simple steps:

Step-1-Build-the-modules
Step 1 – Build the modules
To assemble the Rootbox modules, connect the universal wall panels by sliding their side connectors into place and locking them together. Form the base level and infrastructure systems as specified in the project requirements.
Step-2-Install-upper-rows (2)
Step 2 – Install upper rows
If additional rows are required, press the upper modules securely onto the base. The ridged edges of the wall panels ensure a stable fit and prevent lateral movement.
Step-3-Secure-the-top-grid
Step 3 – Secure the top grid
After planting the tree and filling the Rootbox with soil, press the top grid firmly onto the upper modules to complete the installation. Rootbox can then be covered with grass or paving material, depending on project specifications.
