Harvard ranked 5th in the world for architecture by QS
Geoplast slogan is to build beyond together because the core idea behind our products, solutions, and everything else we do is to make a change. This change is only possible in an open collaboration with architects, engineers, investors, builders, innovators, technologists, and most importantly – users of constructions we participate in creating. Sharing of knowledge is part of our building beyond together ideology.
What especially inspires us is sharing of knowledge online, and in this case top architecture courses by top universities. These universities, which are also well devoted to excellence in teaching, learning and research are Harvard, MIT, Delft University of Technology, ETH Zurich and the University of British Columbia.
The topics which are developed during these online lectures are various: from the Basis and analysis of Environmental Architecture, carried on by MIT, to Ecodesign for Cities and Suburbs carried on by UBC, to the Quality of life livability in future cities by ETH Zurich.
Lessons move from basic architectural concepts to more complex. Harvard, for instance, allows you to learn some of the fundamental principles of architecture by studying history’s most important buildings with “The Architectural Imagination“.
All lectures are given by well-renowned architecture professors, in order to totally embrace the opportunity to bring together experts coming from different fields and find a common meeting point.
Here’s a list of few online architecture courses by MIT, ranked as 1 by QS :
- Design for Sustainability;
- Water and Wastewater Treatment Engineering;
- Mechanical Behavior of Materials, Part 1: Linear Elastic Behavior;
- Mechanical Behavior of Materials, Part 2: Stress Transformations, Beams, Columns, and Cellular Solids;
- Mechanical Behavior of Materials, Part 3: Time Dependent Behavior and Failure;
- Building Technology I: Materials and Construction.
Finally, we particularly like Urban Design for the Public Good: Dutch Urbanism by Delft University of Technology, ranked as 3 by QS.
Learn and enjoy.
