Marine dock reconstruction, Pozzuoli, Italy

Geotub proved irreplaceable for the reconstruction of circular columns under the boat dock in Pozzuoli, near Naples. It was used for repairing 4 rows of columns in submerged conditions, which would have been difficult or impossible with wooden and metal formwork.

Geotub was made of durable ABS plastic resistant to the elements, which made it the go-to solution for the marine environment. The columns could also only be approached from the side, but Geotub allowed lateral installation, providing a cost-effective and timely dock reconstruction.
