Walkable turf at Square of Miracles Pisa, Italy

Square of Miracles is a walled 8.87-hectare area located in Pisa, Tuscany, Italy, recognized as an important center of European medieval art and one of the finest architectural complexes in the world, famous for the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

Under the large turf of "Campo dei Miracoli" near the leaning tower of Pisa Geoflor was installed, the LD PE grid for the creation of any type of walkable turf and existing lawn.

The grid was perfect for this beautiful and historical location because, thanks to its large cells, it can be placed directly on the existing turf and instantly protect the lawn and the root systems. This intervention was necessary due to a large number of tourists that walk over it every day and risk to compact the ground which not drain so the water stagnate on the surface, to ruin the turf and the high aesthetic impact of the entire location.

The final result was excellent because the grass filled the holes of the grid without any damage and the lawn was immediately walkable.
